My friend (and maker of fine images like the one above) Erin Mahoney made me a mix CD before I left on tour. I listened to it almost every day while I was gone. It's chocked full of old favorites of mine (Camera Obscura, Wilco, and Yo La Tengo) as well as new jams that'll keep me occupied for some time (Bon Iver, Girl in a Coma, a Coconut Records track I actually like, and a Daniel Johnston song I'd never heard.)

ReplyDeleteI'm also sorry that I didn't make it out to your parties. Sat and Sun before Christmas is always family at my house for Christmas (for Jesus!). I remember it was the same story last year. And so it is written, and the eternal struggle goes on everlasting...
